It was a cold and miserable day, not a day for great rugby but the All Blacks dug in and gave a good account of themselves against a successful side with a big pack of forwards.

Front row problems for the host meant the team gave a debut at hooker for Sam Bradford the second team captain, who had a good debut, playing well in both the scrum and the loose as well as excelling in the tackle.

The first half was a close affair, Gainsborough just edging the advantage. Their defence had to be at its best to keep the visitors out.

The All Blacks eventually took the lead with a try by Chadwick. Parkinson made the break but in doing so got injured and was not able to take the kick, and Chadwick was not able to convert his own try giving Gainsborough a 5-0 advantage at half-time.

The second half saw Gainsborough dominate more and they went on to score three more tries.

Chadwick set the second half off in great style by receiving the ball and running the length of the pitch to touch down.

Further tries were scored by Andy Turner and Jeff Bates, and Parkinson converted two of the tries to make the final score 24-0.

Man of the Match this week went to Nathan at scrum-half, who attacked from the base of the scrum, tackled really well and set up a try.
