Worksop: Suspended sentence for disqualified driver without insurance

A Worksop man has been handed a suspended sentence for driving whilst disqualified and without insurance.

Dean Parkin, 32, of Cheapside, was found guilty at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Friday 12th December.

Parking was charged with driving a Peugeot 307 on Cheapside on 4th July 2014 whilst disqualified from holding a licence.

He was also charged with driving a Peugeot 307 on Cheapside on 4th July 2014 without a policy of insurance.

Parkin received a 26-week jail term, suspended for 12 months.

He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £120 costs and £80 victim surcharge.
