Outwood Academy Valley and Outwood Academy Portland will both be closed to students in Years 7-11.

Outwood Post-16 Centre is officially closed to students but the facilities will be available for any who want to come in and use them if they wish.

Likewise, non-striking staff will also be at work as usual at the school.

The strike is part of a day of action across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside regions that has been jointly called by members of the NUT and NASUWT in protest against the Government’s proposed changes to teachers’ pay, pensions and working conditions.
