The brewery was a regional winner in the strong bitters and pale ales category with its real ale Farmers Branch - named after a notorious and picturesque Worksop road.

Phil Owen, managing director, said: “We’re delighted to have won the gold award- we only entered one beer into the competition so this is obviously a great award for us. We’re a small team who work hard so it’s fantastic to have made this achievement.”

“Farmer’s Branch is a bit tongue in cheek as it’s a road that’s well known in Worksop for speeding.

“In fact, all our beers are themed around the Dukeries’ heritage.

“We’ll now be placed into a national final but meanwhile we’re still making around 7,500 pints a week and continuing to support pubs in the area.”
