Network Rail said the line between Sheffield, Worksop, Retford and Lincoln will be closed for nine days from Saturday, March 13 to Sunday, March 21, with Northern Rail and East Midlands Railway services affected.

The temporary suspension means that the Network Rail will be able to undertake track and signalling renewal work along the route.

To replace the Northern Rail service, buses will run between Sheffield, Worksop, Retford and Lincoln.

Northern Rail trains between Sheffield and Lincoln through Worksop and Retford are affected by the temporary closure of the line.

East Midlands Railway will continue to run services between Worksop and Nottingham as well as trains to Gainsborough Lea Road, Saxilby and Lincoln via Doncaster.

Rail replacement bus stop locations can be found on the Useful Information Posters at stations.

The line will close again for three days between Saturday, April 3 and and Monday, April 5 with further bus replacements in place.
