On Saturday 6th December The Ethan Maull ‘Up Yours To Cancer’ Foundation will stage its annual Black and White Christmas Ball at Jocasta’s in Lincoln.

The charity ball is in memory of 10-year-old Ethan, who passed away on 5th May after losing his battle against cancer.

Ethan and his family, who live in Torksey, set up the foundation in 2013 to help raise awareness of osteosarcoma after he was diagnosed with the rare form of children’s bone cancer in December 2012.

Dawn Foulston, Ethan Maull’s godmother and organiser of the event, said: “Our charity ball was a great success last year, and I’m hoping that this year’s event will be even more special as it is in remembrance of our beloved Ethan.”

Guests attending the black and white themed event will be welcomed with a drinks reception.

They will enjoy a five-course meal, entertainment from stand-up comedian Lea Roberts and a live band performance from The 4 Tarantinos.

Auction prizes available on the night include a half-day Land Rover driving experience, a signed Red Arrows flying suit and a holiday house in Spain for a week.

Dawn added: “We have received some fantastic prize donations for our raffle and auction and I also have a few fun games and surprises up my sleeve for everyone to enjoy on the night.”

Ethan’s mum, Sam Maull, said: “I’m really looking forward to this year’s Black and White Christmas Ball.”

“Last year’s was a lot of fun for everyone and I’m sure this year’s will be as enjoyable, if not better.”

However it will be a poignant evening for Sam and Ethan’s dad, Darren.

Sam said: “Darren and I are both devastated that Ethan will not be here to share a great night with us.”

The charity event was first staged last year at Jocasta’s in Lincoln.

The ball attracted over 300 guests and raised over £12,800.

The foundation is raising funds to purchase a property to be called Ethan’s House where families can stay while their children undergo extensive treatment, and so far the charity has raised over £100,000.

A limited number of tickets are available costing £65 per person. To make a booking or to donate an auction or raffle prize please contact Dawn by emailing [email protected].
