Midfield duo Sam Hutchinson and Almen Abdi are big doubt ahead of tomorrow night’s clash at Hillsborough.

Hutchinson was forced off with a knock in Saturday’s thrashing of Norwich City while Abdi sat-out the fixture due to a knee problem.

Speaking at his press briefing today, Owls head coach Carvalhal said: “All the time, teams have little things and we only know if they can recover or not on the day of the game.

“We must wait until tomorrow to check everyone so don’t ask me about any individuals.

“I don’t want to give this information to the outside.

“We must analyse all the players and check who is available and not and after we will choose the best eleven to win the game.”

Wednesday currently occupy the final Championship play-off position after securing five wins from their last seven outings.

As for Burton, who are managed by ex-Sheffield United chief Nigel Clough, they have boosted their hopes of staying up by stringing together a four-match unbeaten run. The Brewers sit in 19th position, three points above the relegation zone.
