Work set to start on Worksop’s Canch kiosk and toilets in the next two weeks

The new council resource - opposite the splash pool within an area of the sensory garden - will include a baby change and parent WC as well as four unisex toilets.
Bassetlaw Council say improving the public facilities at the Canch - which has achieved Green Flag status seven years in a row - has been high on the council’s agenda for a number of years and the project was given the go ahead in April last year.

Hide AdCouncillor Julie Leigh, cabinet member for neighbourhoods at Bassetlaw District Council, said: “The Canch and Memorial Gardens are an extremely popular destination for
residents and visitors to Bassetlaw and this new addition will improve their experience even more.
“The last 11 months of coronavirus have shown that now, more than ever, is the time to invest in our open spaces and give residents access to first class facilities.
“Once the new amenities are ready and current restrictions are lifted we look forward to welcoming people back to our open spaces so they can experience both the physical and mental health benefits that access to open spaces bring.”

Hide AdRotherham-based Hughie Construction Ltd are due to start work on the project in the next two weeks.
