Service users at the former Eastgate centre, want wheelchair users to be able to access the beds and help create an attractive garden for all to enjoy.

Russell Varley-Faram, pictured second right, completed a sponsored swim to raise £261 for the Garden Group, while a carer for the service Trudi Chappell held an Easter raffle which raised a further £130. Dobbies in Barlborough donated £250-worth of gardening equipment and local businesses have donated raffle prizes for the Summer Fayre on 26th June.

Service user Gerrard Chambers, pictured far left, thanked everyone who has supported the group so far and said they also hope money raised will help to buy a new greenhouse.

“If anyone would like to donate to help us achieve our goals, please call 01909 535353 and we will contact you back,” he said.
