Stephanie Bingham’s “bright little girl” Amber received the plaudit for work gathering piles of rubbish around the town and helping birds and bees thrive in her mum and dad’s garden.

In the days that followed she collected a huge bin bag full of refuse around Valley Road.
Chuffed mum Stephanie described how the devoted youngster also collected “bags” of rubbish on the beach in Cleethorpes as part of her eco-work.
And Stephanie and husband Daniel’s garden was “buzzing” with bees and “masses” of sunflowers last summer after the busy youth set about planting seeds to give them a habitat.
Stephanie, 34, said: “She was so pleased to get the badge and wear it to school and show it off to her teachers and friends.

“But we’ve always talked about the environment and looking after the space around us - she’s very much about the environment and is the class eco-warrior at school.
“She’s a very bright little girl - really kind and friendly but in a quiet sort of way. She’s a very good little girl and never gives us any trouble.”
Speaking about the award teaching assistant Stephanie said “I just think she deserves it”.
She added: “She does such lovely things and this is a little bit of recognition - a little boost.”
