Members of the RBL were joined at the service on July 27 by the RAF Association, the Chair of Bassetlaw District Council, the Worksop Charter Mayor and residents at 12 noon in the Worksop Memorial Gardens for a short service of Commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the armistice which brought an end to the fighting in Korea.

Worksop RBL Branch Secretary, Grant Cullen said: “We were gathered to reflect that 60,000 British service personnel had participated in this almost now forgotten conflict and of those 1000 had lost their lives while others remained broken in mind and body, for whom the Royal British Legion exists to support today.”
