The two men in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision.

Police said they were both from Sheffield but it is understood Tyrone was well-known in Shirebrook.

On Monday night, a fireworks display was held in the Derbyshire town in tribute to the pair.

One of Tyrone’s friends has now organised an online fundraising appeal to help pay for his funeral and to support his young son.

His GoFundMe page states: “This is for Tyrone’s funeral, we want to raise some money towards it to get him the best send off possible.

“Everyone show a bit of love and affection for Ty and his baby boy, every little helps from pennies to pounds, come on folks let’s get together for a good cause and good lad, least we can do since he would’ve done the same for us.”

A police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is underway.
