Letter of support

I would like to offer my support to Sandy Mills as it is a traumatic experience getting stuck anywhere in a scooter/wheelchair!

I would also like to add my support to Geoff Stevens as the council abandon bins here on our street too. I am in a wheelchair and it gets dangerous on our street when the council leave the pavement strewn with wheelie bins. My carer puts our full bins neatly at the end of our drive, off the pavement, the council leave them where they land!

My carer took my dog and I for a walk along the canal towpath. Imagine my frustration when our walk came to a sudden halt. The towpath is now gated and this gate is locked. Do wheelchair/scooter users get a key for this gate? If so, where do we get one from? Millions have been spent on improvements yet I can no longer use the towpath! From what little I have managed to see it looks nice but I would love to be able to use the towpath without having to put my hand up and ask miss permission first!

Would John Mann like to meet up with me and the Worksop Guardian at the canal towpath by The Priory Centre at 3pm on Wednesday 18th September? A picture speaks a thousand words! I look forward to seeing you there!
