Misterton: Annual party for senior citizens is a big success

Sixty older residents of Misterton attended the senior citizens' annual party in the Methodist Hall .

After a meal, the audience was treated to an afternoon of entertainment, which included bingo, an illustrated talk by local historian, David Seymour and Take Note, a choir from Haxey.

North Notts Lions provided transport for those who needed it, making it a truly community event.

Vice-chairman of the Parish Council, Peter Marsden, proposed a vote of thanks to the organisers and those organisations that had supported the event financially.

Nikki Jaggard-Smith, or the organising committee, added: “Thanks to all who came and to all the helpers on the day.

“We had a lovely afternoon and hope you all did too.”
