Mayor to host charity event in Retford

The Mayor of Retford is hosting a 1940’s themed evening on the 10th May to raise money for her chosen charity WRVS Bassetlaw. The evening which will be in the Retford Town hall will be an amazing fun filled event with entertainment, music, food and information about the 75 years that the WRVS has been active within the community.

Retford mayor Coun Carol Palmer said it was set to be a ‘fantastic’ event.

“I want to show how the WRVS in Bassetlaw has helped residents in its 75 years whilst giving people a chance to have fun,” she said.

“This will be my final fundraising event of the year and I hope that residents can support the event by buying a ticket and coming along.”

Tickets are only £10 and £7.50 for concessions and can be bought from WRVS service manager Videlle Hamlet by calling 01909 484437.
