Hunt for street robbers in Carlton-in-Lindrick

At around 8pm, a 19-year-old victim was approached by a man who was armed with a pair of scissors.

The offender demanded the victim’s wallet, which he handed over. A struggle then followed as the offender tried to take a gold chain from around the victim’s neck.

The victim sustained cuts to his hands. Investigating officers believe that the offender, who ran off in the direction of Ramsden Crescent, may also have been injured during the struggle.
