The group’s concerts are performed in the magnificent surroundings of All Saints’ Parish Church in Gainsborough.

“Our first concert celebrates the birth centenary of Benjamin Britten with a performance of Saint Nicolas on 16th November 16th,” said the society’s publicity officer Carolyn Walton.

At Christmas the QEHS music department joins us for Carols for All on 14th December.

And on 22nd March they are singing Carmina Burana with piano and percussion accompaniment.

“It will be another interesting year of musical discovery,” said Carolyn.

“New members are always welcome, no voice trials or auditions, we sing because we love the music.”

“We would like some more tenors and basses to swell our ranks. Come and enjoy a season of choral singing with our society, she added”

The annual subscription for singers is £65. For more information call Deirdre Speed on 01427 614162, email [email protected] or visit www,

On Saturday 14th September there is a 60s Pop Singing Day with Sue Hollingworth at Glentworth Village Hall from 10am to 4pm costing £10.
