Poinsettias, which are a lustrous red in colour and also come in pink and white, have been given as traditional Christmas gifts since the 1800s - and now you can grab one absolutely free, courtesy of the generous owner.

Just cut out the coupon and in this week’s Guardian (OUT FRIDAY) to receive your gorgeous free gift.

Darfoulds Nursery is the only garden centre in the region that grow poinsettia plants. Because they are home grown, the plants grow to a large size and live a long life.

And don’t forget to visit the Nursery on Saturdays and Sundays leading up to Christmas from 10am until 4pm, when children can meet Father Christmas and his donkeys at a magical Santa’s grotto.

Youngsters can also have a festive photo taken in a sleigh.

Darfoulds is still selling a range of Christmas trees, some of which are homegrown, and a variety of christmas decorations and unique gifts.

Tasty meals, snacks and drinks are available at the on-site cafe, the Greenhouse Coffee Shop.
