Dog tied to kennel gates and left abandoned

The male Staffordshire bull terrier was found attached to the gates of Babbington Hall Kennels in Awsworth, a village between Kimberley and Ilkeston, on Friday.

Tony Sanderson, owner of the kennels, said: "He was left in the cold with only one tin of food. Luckily we have a tin opener.

"The dog wardens have had no luck in finding out who did this.

"The poor dog."
