A Nottinghamshire Police officer who chased a thief around Bulwell who stole from Boots said they got their "cardio session in for the day".

The thief later tried to sell the stolen Little Mix make up to police while in custody.

A member of Bulwell, Rise Park and Highbury Vale Police said: "A light fingered individual decided to steal from Boots and so we were taken out of the centre for a period of time.

"Although I did get my cardio session in for the day doing laps around Commercial Road, Boots will get their goods back and one male is in custody.

"Although he did try to sell myself and a colleague the goods in custody.

"We aren't quite sure how he thought that was going to work, but, lucky for Boots Little Mix make up doesn't have our shade of lippy in it."

The incident happened on November 13 at 3:46pm
