The group welcomed Eileen Baraclough from Ilkley in West Yorkshire on 27th June for a talk and g demonstration.

Eileen delighted members as she created a number of floral displays in a range of vibrant summer colours.

“Everyone enjoyed the tales she had to tell while watching her create some beautiful arrangements,” said Anne Brazil from the flower club.

Following the demonstration the arrangements were raffled off, with seven lucky winners getting to take one home at the end of the evening.

The flower club always welcomes new members. Anyone interested in getting involved can simply turn up to a meeting.

“If you would like to come along and sample our friendly club, for a relaxing social evening, bring this news cutting along for a free evening,” added Anne.

“Why not give us a try? We look forward to seeing you,” she added.

The group meet on the fourth Thursday of every month at the Blues supporters club on North Street. Meetings start at 7pm.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday 25th July and all are welcome to attend.
