Bassetlaw: Civic Service venue announced

This year’s District Council Civic Service will take place at St John’s Church in Worksop.

The service will take place at the Overend Road church at 2.30pm on Sunday 15th September 2013.

Worksop Miners’ Welfare Band and singer Alice May Walster will be performing at the service, which will be conducted by Reverend Timothy Stanford and assisted by Reverend Martyn Alvey.

The service will include hymns and additional readings from the chairman and interim chief executive Neil Taylor.

A collection will be taken, and any money will be split equally between the church and the chairman’s Charity Appeal.
