A new Alzheimer's support group is launching

The carers’ group will meet for the first time on Monday, April 18, at the Scout Hut in Love Lane. The group provides an opportunity for people to socialise and get much needed face to face support.

Alzheimer’s Society estimates that there are about 11,000 people with dementia in Lincolnshire, including about 1400 in West Lindsey.

Joanna Smith from Alzheimer’s Society in Lincolnshire said:

‘Meeting others who are dealing with similar challenges can be a real boost and can really help improve people’s quality of life. Our staff are on hand to point people in the direction of information and guidance to help them live well with the condition. We will have relevant guest speakers and a warm welcome, so we would love to see you there.”
