Thoresby band at Crossing

THE Championship Section Thoresby Colliery Band are warming up to make a return visit to Worksop’s The Crossing on Saturday 16th June.

Conducted on this post-Jubilee occasion by Dave Purkiss, the band will perform music with a regal flavour and show they continue to be included in the top tier of brass bands.

Crossing concerts programmer David Jordan said: “Worksop is really fortunate to have a Championship Section band right on its doorstep and our acoustics at The Crossing are just right to show off the skills and talents of the instrumentalists,” he said.

Thoresby Colliery Band prestigiously qualified to represent the Midlands in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain at the Royal Albert Hall along with the Virtuosi GUS.
