Comedy Club birthday night

FOLLOWING on from last month’s record audience attendance, Gainsborough’s Hoot Comedy Club are looking forward to their forthcoming fifth birthday celebrations in April.

Over the years Hoot has played host to the likes of such esteemed ‘as seen on TV’ performers as Jason Manford, Sarah Millican, Chris Ramsey, Isy Suttie, Pete Firman, Justin Moorhouse, Joe Lycett, Ava Vidal, Gary Delaney, Elis James and Alfie Moore.

Coun Jessie Milne was thrilled to hear of the record audience at the Hoot Comedy Club.

She said: “This proves that we are getting it right at Trinity Arts Centre. The fact that the next HOOT show is their fifth anniversary, shows how well they are doing and that they are becoming more and more popular.”

Local and well loved resident Compere Elliott J Huntley has been with Hoot from the start.

“It was fantastic to get a record audience and it would be great if we could get into three figures for our birthday” said Elliott. “We have a great line up planned for the 5th April with a full supporting undercard too.”

Spotlight Comedy said this of Huntley: “It was most impressive how effortlessly he commanded the crowd courtesy of some cracking gags, superb comic songs and old school onstage poise.”

The Hoot Comedy Club’s Fifth Birthday Celebrations will be at Trinity Arts Centre on Thursday 12th April.

Doors open at 7pm.

The line-up features Sully O’Sullivan, Andrew Watts, and regular MC Elliot J Huntley.

Tickets are £6 in advance or £7 on the door and are available by calling the Trinity Arts Box Office on 01427 676655.
