Chocolate Orange tearooms, situated in the vintage centre on Carlton Road, were inspired to introduce Carlton the Caterpillar after a recent legal wrangle which saw M&S threatening to sue Aldi for infringing its Colin the Caterpillar trademark.

Aldi stopped selling its Cuthbert the Caterpillar cake in February, two months before M&S threatened legal action, but now sales of a limited edition version will benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust.
