The new branch opened on Retford Road on Thursday (March 18) offering Drive-Thru services, McDelivery and takeaway.

Birds-eye footage, taken by Ray Bevan on opening day, shows socially-distanced staff saying hello to new customers.

The restaurant is operating with a smaller than usual due to Covid and has adopted further safety measures such as social distancing in kitchens, perspex screens at Drive-Thru windows and employees wearing protective equipment.

Local franchisee Bob Meadowcroft, who owns and operates the new branch, said: “We are delighted to be opening this new restaurant and we’re so looking forward to getting to know more of the local community.

"We’d like to thank our hardworking crew and our new customers in advance for their support and patience as we continually adapt to the safest ways of working during the pandemic.”
