Northern Ballet visit Sheffield’s Lyceum next week as part of the debut UK tour of Jonathan Watkins’ 1984.

This is the first full-length ballet production of George Orwell’s creation which centres on a world of conformity with a Ministry of Truth and Big Brother watching workers’ every move.

See 1984 in Sheffield from October 20 to 24 at 7.45pm with matinees on Tuesday at 2pm and Saturday at 3pm.

Judges voted Northern Ballet best company at the 2014 Taglioni European Ballet Awards.
