The historic 15,000-acre Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire – the home of Stichelton Cheese - has announced it will host its second Welbeck Cheese Festival later this month.

The free event will take place on Saturday 26 September 2026 from 11am to 4pm in the Courtyard at Welbeck.
The festival brings together a rare industry-style experience directly to the public, gathering nine of Britain's legendary cheesemakers (and an Italian) in one location: events of this nature usually only take place in London. Now, local visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet the faces behind the UK's most celebrated cheesemakers and cheesemongers, sample award-winning cheeses, and purchase some of the UK’s best farm-made cheeses directly from the makers.
Among those in attendance will be Otto Mead (Cornish Yarg and Cornish Kern), Joe Schneider (Stichelton), Tim Jones (Lincolnshire Poacher), and Selina Errington (Blackmount, Elrick Log and Corra Linn).

Oliver Stubbins, Director and General Manager of the Welbeck Farm Shop said: “Come for the cheese, stay for the stories, and celebrate the best of British artisan tradition. This unique festival offers a rare occasion to taste, learn from, and purchase directly from the UK’s finest cheesemakers in an atmosphere rich with flavour and community."
In addition to world-class cheese tastings, the event will feature local refreshments, including draft ales from the Estate’s own Welbeck Abbey Brewery.
