Christmas may be over but the pantomime season most definitely is not as Worksop Light Operatic Society will prove when they present Mother Goose at the Acorn theatre next week.
This popular local group have been producing pantomimes for over 30 years.
As well as company regulars, the show also features young dancers from Rebecca’s Dance Studios.
Mother Goose features a whole host of characters, not least star of the show herself Priscilla, the goose that lays golden eggs.
There is also the family to whom she brings sudden riches a trainee fairy and some swindlers who will try any number of sneaky tricks to get their hands on the loot.
“This is our first pantomime at the Acorn Theatre and we hope our regular supporters will also make the move and come and see us at our new venue,” said a group spokesman.
Mother Goose is on from next Tuesday to Sunday (14th to 19th January) at 7pm each night, plus matinees at 2pm on Saturday and 12noon on Sunday.
Tickets are £10 (£8.50 concessions) for all performances except Tuesday when all seats are £8 and Saturday night when all seats at £10.
