The Whitwell Players are set to bring the laughs to an evening of entertainment next week, serving up a feast of four short plays at Whitwell Village Hall.
The evening will begin with A Colliers Tuesday Tea, a Edinburgh Fringe sketch from the 1970s that has more than irreverent glance towards DH Lawrence.
This is followed by A Charabank Trip, created by Worksop lad Doc Cox from the 70s and 80s TV show That’s Life and which will be a trip for many down memory lane.
The third offering of the night will be Streuth, a classic whodunnit based on Agatha Christie.
And the evening will be rounded off with the comedy Dinner For One with Miss Sophie at the head of table and her butler making sure no glass – or eye – stays dry.
The show runs from Thursday, April 14 to Saturday, April 16 at 7pm each night until tomorrow night (Saturday).
Tickets are £7 from the venue on 01909 723490.
