The big white Fake Festivals marquee returns to Retford Rugby Club this weekend as the ever-popular touring tribute festival brings world-class tributes to The Killers, Oasis and Blondie to town.
The Fillers, Oasish and Blondied are regarded as being the best tribute acts in their field.
Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals, said: “It’s a very proud thing to be able to say that the best tributes to The Killers, Oasis and Blondie are found in the UK.
Oasish, one of the headlining tributes, tour extensively around the UK and Europe, and even use the same amps that Oasis use to produce the genuine sound on the Britpop giants.
Paul Higginson, Oasish’s frontman commented: “Fake Festivals is a great concept, and we always love being part of the tour.
“It’s a great chance for us to perform in the UK and to also catch up with friends from other tribute bands.
“The Fake Festivals tour has gone from strength to strength each year, and this year with the Big Fake Festival, it’s guaranteed to be a winner.”
Not only can fans at Retford enjoy the live shows, but they can also get up close and personal with their idols, as they pass through the marquee, grabbing a beer before they go on stage.
As well as The Fillers, Oasish and Blondied, the line-up will also feature five local support acts from Retford and the surrounding area.
The show is on Saturday, July 2, ticket details are available at www.fakefestivals.co.uk
