Jason Donovan has announced that Mon Amie will support him on his forthcoming Ten Good Reasons tour.
The Australian star is returning to his roots for a solo tour of his multi-platinum debut album that included the hits Too Many Broken Hearts, Sealed With a Kiss and Especially for You.
Mon Amie shot to public attention last year after group mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini controversially swapped them for gospel singers Melody Stone during the six-chair challenge which caused uproar with the audience.
Mon Amie are made up of Honey, Abi, Monifa and Izzy, who all study at the Italia Conti Academy of Musical Theatre in London and describe themselves as an ‘all singing, all dancing girl band.’
Their X Factor boot camp rendition of Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World had more than 900,000 views online and their debut video, a cover version of Diamonds by Rihanna, has also received huge adulation.
The band’s performance of Britney Spears’ One More Time during the six-chair challenge has also had more than 470,000 views to date.
Jason Donovan commented; “Mon Amie are a new, fresh, different type of girl band.
“I watched the girls on X Factor and was really impressed and can’t wait for them to join me on tour.
“Mon Amie are all about the strength in their vocals and harmonies, these girls need no gimmicks as their credibility, unique style of vocal and personality blends all four girls to a perfect match.”
The tour comes to Sheffield City Hall on March 16.
