Florence & the Machine have announced their return to the stage with their first full UK tour since 2012.
September will see them embark on a 12-strong string of dates which will take them across the country, stopping off at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on the 12th and Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena on the 17th.
The tour will follow a big festival season for the band who are set to play big slots at Glastonbury, Splendour In The Grass and Electric Picnic amongst others.
Florence & The Machine emerged into the mainstream of British music when they won the Critic’s Choice Award at the 2009 BRIT Awards.
A year later, they picked up what is generally viewed as the top award at the BRITS when their debut album Lungs won the album of the year award.
Their follow-up album, Ceremonials, was also nominated for album of the year in 2012.
Their third critically-acclaimed album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, was released this month and topped the UK album chart, selling more than the rest of the top five combined and topping the charts in 24 other countries.
They are currently on course to have their first number one album in the USA.
