Nottingham date for Worksop-born Iron Maiden star Bruce Dickinson's spoken word tour - here's how to get tickets

The Iron Maiden lead singer has announced a special one-man, six-date, spoken-word tour for summer 2021, including a show at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal on August 8.

A tour spokesman said: “Aside from decades spent delivering high-octane performances with his larger-than-life persona in Iron Maiden, Bruce has lived an extraordinary off-stage existence too.

“A true polymath, his accomplishments include: pilot and airline captain, aviation entrepreneur, beer brewer, motivational speaker, film scriptwriter,twice-published novelist and best-selling author, radio presenter, TV actor, sports commentator and international fencer... to name but a few.

“So, there's plenty to be entertained by, throughout the evening's cornucopia of fascinating tales and derring-do exploits, all delivered by Bruce withcharacteristically infectious enthusiasm and wry wit.”

The show will be split into two parts, with part one seeing Bruce sharing stories and opinions “in his inimitable anarchic style, punctuated withphotographs, videos and sometimes even erupting into song a-capella, to illustrate a point”, with the final section “devoted entirely to a Q&A session, with the opportunity to pose questions on any subject whatsoever”.

Iron Maiden have also just announced the postponement of the European leg of the Legacy of the Beast summer tour, from 2021 to 2022. It includes a headline slot at Download Festival, at Donington Park, near Derby, on June 11, 2022.
