Despite huge success in the Seventies and Eighties, the closest they got to the top 10 was 1985’s Phantasmagoria, which reached number 11.
However, new album Evil Spririts - their first in 10 years – has reached number seven, proving how relevant, 41 years after their inception, The Damned still are.
And they have now announced a November tour, including a show at Sheffield’s Plug on Monday, November 26.
