The unisex bracelet, which will retail for around £180, with beads from £25, was invented, designed and tested in Sheffield with the help of both universities. It will be hand finished and assembled in the company's studio workshop at Portland Works, the birthplace of stainless steel.
They say it is hypoallergenic, has maximum corrosion resistance and durability, and will initially be available in seven colours - original stainless steel, matte gold, polished black, petrol, anthracite, matte black and rose gold.

A pendant converter also allows the beads to be worn on a necklace.
It is all the brainchild of Scott Bailey and his partner Adele, who together are best known as owners of city centre gig venue, Plug.
“The world's toughest bracelet? We can confidently say that the CABLE bracelet is as tough as it is beautiful, " said Scott.
