Last chance to catch acclaimed Contemporary exhibitions

Nottingham Contemporary is getting ready to welcome its exciting autumn exhibits, which means this weekend is the final opportunity to catch the highlights of its summer season.

Local artist Yelena Popova has wowed visitors with After Image, her first UK solo show, which features ambitious works including a large installation of barely there paintings, ceramics and computer-generated imagery illustrating histories of abstraction. Elsewhere, Michael Butler’s Pump House has channelled the spirit of DIY invention, and the disappearing tradition of co-operative labour to shape a monumental paper and cardboard piece which flows throughout the building. Free to enter, open Saturday 10am to 6pm, and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
