Feast of reggae as Rush returns to Nottingham Playhouse

Reggae fans are in for a treat when the hit show Rush makes another appearance at Nottingham Playhouse on September 7.

Rush will be returning to Nottingham Playhouse

Come along and see this telling of the story of reggae music.

You will hear about the arrival of the Windrush generation from Jamaica – bringing their stories, history and music with them – and how their music evolved through the decades to take the world by storm.

Narrated by comedian John Simmit, Rush is a show that features ska, rock steady, calypso, gospel, lovers rock, dancehall and reggae.

These superb songs will all be played live by the JA Reggae Band.

Get ready to dance to the music of Desmond Dekker, Jimmy Cliff, Toots & The Maytals, Prince Buster, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Lord Kitchener, Millie Small and many more .
