A night of stomping singalongs with The Fratellis

Rabble-rousing indie-rockers The Fratellis are heading to Nottingham as they celebrate 20 years since their breakthrough.

In the autumn of 2006, the Scots band burst onto the scene with their debut album Costello Music. Filled to the brim with catchy riffs and brash vocals, the record featured some of the band’s most enduring tracks, including Henrietta, Whistle for the Choir and the enduring singalong Chelsea Dagger.

Now, almost two decades on, The Fratellis have announced their plans to take ‘Costello Music’ back out on the road. After a run of festival slots this summer, including a performance on the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury, the band will celebrate the 20-year anniversary of their debut record with an extensive UK tour taking place next February – and starting in Nottingham.

Since introducing themselves with Costello Music, The Fratellis have won over new generations of fans who have bolstered their live shows. The band now have six full-length studio records to their name, with the latest, Drunk Under a Full Moon, arriving in 2021.

Pairing the stomping singalongs for which The Fratellis first found fame with lush songs steeped in brass and strings, the record earned the band a top-three chart position in their home country as well as praise from the likes of Gigwise and Riff Magazine.

They play Rock City on Thursday February 5. Visit crosstownconcerts.seetickets.com/tour/the-fratellis to book.
