The TV presenter visited the grounds of the historic house to talk to owner Sir Andrew Buchanan about a special reopening event at Hodsock this week.

Over five days, entry was free to visitors with any donations collected to benefit Bassetlaw Hospital.

Alison even got the chance to enjoy a picnic amongst the bluebells, which bloom around Hodsock every year along with daffodils and snowdrops.
