A bag containing a defibrillator was taken from a community first responder’s car in the Creswell area on Wednesday night.
On Friday, North Nottinghamshire Community First Responders (NNCFR) confirmed the kit had been recovered in a nearby alleyway following heavy rain.

Tests will now need to be carried out on the expensive equipment to make sure it is safe to be used.
Graham Robinson, group co-ordinator with NNCFR, said he was ‘relieved’ the kit had been recovered – but expressed his disappointment that it was stolen in the first place.
“It was a real kick in the teeth,” he said.
“We were gutted and thought it was very poor that someone would do such a terrible thing.
“We’re relieved it’s now been found and we hope the tests will confirm it is safe to use.
“We’d like to thank everyone for their support.”

News of the theft and the equipment later being found was posted on NNCFR’s Facebook page.
One woman commented: “I hope the people who stole it get what they deserve.
“I’m so pleased it’s been found.”
NNCFR is a charity providing trained volunteers to help East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust at incidents across north Nottinghamshire.
The group’s website states: “Our volunteers are trained, by the ambulance service, to provide life-saving interventions to members of their community.
“When seconds count, our team will be there.”
