This was to be a warm up meeting for this weekend’s event when she was entered in the 2016 County Championships.

Rosie was due to compete at 1.30 at the Harvey Haddon stadium Nottingham and didn’t suspect a thing when she arrived at the venue at 10am and only then told that she had been entered in the U20s competition which was due to start 75 minutes later.

Rosie did herself proud and not only came away retaining the U17 title but she now holds the U20 also winning both competitions by more than five metres.

Her next challenge is the UK Javelin carnival in two weeks’ time.
