BASSETLAW Orienteer Will Parkinson led the field on the Long Course at the Lincs Summer League event last Thursday.

Running at Twyford Woods, he was three minutes ahead of dad Robert who took second, and Helen Parkinson was seventh.

Andrew Ridgway competed on the Technical Course and finished in a creditable13th position.

On Saturday, Andrew Ridgway (36th on the Blue) and Helen Parkinson (13th on the Green) travelled to Bradgate Park, near Loughborough, to run in the East Midlands league event.

Bassetlaw’s orienteers’ next event will be on Thursday 31st May, when they are running in the Lincs Summer League event at RAF Cranwell.
