Wheelers involved in Tommy Simpson reliability ride

Last weekend a number of Retford and District Wheelers participated in the annual Tommy Simpson reliability ride.

The Dinnington Racing Team organised event started and finished in Harworth, completing a 55-mile circuit of the Isle of Axholme.

It’s held in memory of Harworth’s former world champion Simpson, and raises money towards the maintenance of his memorial at the roadside of Mount Ventoux in France.
