Westwood in California for Tiger Woods’ invitational

Lee Westwood is in action in California this weekend, for Tiger Woods’ invitational event.

The Northwest Mutual World Challenge will see Westwood’s bag on the shoulder of Billy Foster for the first time since the pair agreed to work together again.

Westwood’s manager Chubby Chandler is sure that the combination will be successful on the course, as they were before as the Worksop man reached number one in the world rankings.

“We saw glimpses of the real Lee Westwood at Dubai (two weeks ago and I’m sure that, with Billy back on the bag, it’ll all come right again.”

One of 18 players in the event, Westwood was scheduled to play alongside Ian Poulter in the second group on Thursday at sherwood Country Club, Thousand Oaks.
