Toys still sit on the top shelf after 6-4 victory

Despite not playing their strongest side yet this season, DTH Redlands Fluffy Toys still sit at the top of Division One with a perfect record.

Their latest triumph saw them edge The Roosters 6-4.

Peter Cowburn led the way with an impressive hat-trick, supported by Steve Walker who managed two wins.

For The Roosters Tom McIntosh beat Walker and Dennis Learad, who also lost to Piotr Sliwa and Rick Harris , but Cowburn and Walker won the doubles to seal victory.

Elsewhere in Division One Andy Lee of Ryton Park Adders hit top form against MBE, beating Mick Bell, Dave Marsh and Mark Stanfield to help his side to a 6-4 victory over MBE.

Mike Nocivelli beat both Bell and Marsh with Matt Lemon also beating Marsh to ensure all three points.

MBE’s Stanfield won two, and Bell won one and the doubles .

In Division Two both Manton Tigers and DTH Redlands Joggers enjoyed 6-4 wins, the Tigers inflicting a first defeat on Stanley Street B.

The Tigers’ Paul Allison had another hat-trick and is the only player in the division with a 100 per cent record.

Bill Bateman chipped in with two wins before the pair teamed up to take the doubles.

For Stanley Street Matt Williams, Paul Linfield and Kyle McIntosh all beat the Tigers Phil Hall, Linfield adding a further win over Bateman.

Division Two results: DTH Redlands Joggers 6-4 Manton Sports, Global Marble B 3 Ryton Park Eagles 7.

Division Three’s Performance Of The Week was undoubtedly Stanley Street C’s win over previously unbeaten DTH Redlands Tarr Babies in.

For Stanley Street C Orestas Riauba sealed a hat-trick, and brother Matynas beat Kieran Tutter and Josh Nelson.

Jack Tarr and Daniel Cutts led the doubles, but the Riaubas fought back to win.
