From Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd March the public will be running, swimming or cycling their way to raising money at over a thousand venues around the country.

West Lindsey Leisure Centre will host the Sport Relief Swimathon and Sport Relief Mile on Saturday 22nd March.

Local fundraisers can choose 1.5k, 2.5k or 5k individual distances.

Those who prefer a team challenge can form a relay squad to tackle the 1.5k and 5k distances.

The Sport Relief Mile will take place the very next day, when entrants can walk, jog or run a mile, three miles or six miles.

The Everyone Active Bee will be encouraging locals to enter in fancy dress.

All entrants into either event will be awarded with a medal when they complete their chosen distance.

Nanette Davenport, swim manager added: “The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games is a fantastic way to bring our community together, while providing ample opportunity to get fit and healthy.”

Sponsorship money raised by swimmers and runners will go to Sport Relief to help people living in tough conditions in the UK and around the world.
