Second half triesprove too much

MIDLANDS THREE EAST NORTH

Melbourne 38

A STRONG back line proved too much for Worksop, as four second half tries clinched a comfortable win for Melbourne.

Worksop reached half-time leading 14-12.

Alan Hopkinson scored from a rolling maul that started 15 metres out, then Colin Barnett crossed the line following a scrummage.

But the Worksop defence struggled to contain Melbourne in the second half, and overlaps from a menacing attack allowed Melbourne to race into the lead.

Worksop’s Man of the Match was John Williams in the second row.
