Coun Julie Leigh, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods encouraged local residents to nominate sport stars and help to highlight the positive contributions to sport in our midst.

She said: “The Bassetlaw Sports Awards are a highlight of the year, where we celebrate sporting success as well recognise the dedicated volunteers and coaches who work tirelessly to make sport happen in the district.”

“So, if you know of someone who deserves true sporting recognition this year, don’t let them miss out.”
